Ollie

On the snowskate, the Ollie is very similiar to the ollie on a skateboard. The only difference to the ollie on a snowskate is whether or not you have a Bi-Deck or a single deck. Bi-decks usually have less kick to be more stable when popping off of the bottom ski. Single decks usually have a bigger angle of tail to make up for not having as much space between the deck and the snow.

To set up for an ollie, make sure you are square with the board (parallel) and are balanced and confident. When sliding you want to pop the tail hard and slide your foot up then suck up your legs while putting some pressure downwards on your front foot to level the board. while still square with the board in mid air your going to want to press down a bit on your backfoot while extending both legs to make sure you land more on your tail then on your nose. Once landed, bend your knees to take some impact then extend them naturally. Once you are better at ollies you can pop nice steady ollies while not bringing your back foot off.
